Staying socially connected during coronavirus

The introduction of physical distancing across Australia has meant we have all had to adapt the way we communicate and remain socially connected. This lesson uses a video created by ReachOut with Flexmami to suggest ways students can remain connected to their friends when a physical meeting isn’t possible.

  1. Provide students with access to the ReachOut.com video 'Staying socially connected during coronavirus- with FlexMami'.
  2. While the video is playing, ask students to mindmap the information and tips given. They could use symbols, images or words.
  3. Ask students:
    • What did you like/not like about the video?
    • Of the strategies suggested in the video, which is your favourite?
    • What are some things we need to consider when using online technologies to connect?
