Instructions

5 minutes

  1. Explain the Think–Impulse Strategy:

    • Stop. Think. (Delay your response.)

    • Breathe.

    • Think of three responses. (Don’t say anything until you have thought of three responses.)

    • Respond.

  2. Organise students into pairs and ask them to think of a recent conflict situation they observed or experienced.

  3. Have the students role-play handling the conflict more appropriately using the Think–Impulse Strategy.
